Welcome to FoodSafetyCircle.com. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FoodSafetyCircle.com and its related services (the "Service"), operated by FoodSafetyCircle ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the Service
FoodSafetyCircle is a professional network for people working in food safety and quality. Rather than a public feed built around follower counts, the Service is built around confirmed, two-way connections, intended to help members find trusted technical contacts, references, and opportunities. The Service is under active development, and some features, including new account creation, may be limited or temporarily unavailable while we build them.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide about yourself is accurate.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4. Member Conduct
To keep FoodSafetyCircle a trustworthy, professional space, you agree not to:
- Misrepresent your identity, credentials, employer, or professional background.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other members.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages or connection requests, or otherwise use the Service for spam.
- Scrape, copy, or export member data or content outside the Service without permission.
- Post or share unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent content.
- Attempt to interfere with the security or normal operation of the Service.
5. Connections, Introductions, and References
Connections on FoodSafetyCircle require mutual confirmation between members. While the Service is designed to help members reach trusted technical contacts, references, and opportunities, we do not guarantee any particular outcome, including employment, business relationships, or the accuracy of any reference or recommendation exchanged between members. You are responsible for independently verifying the credentials and claims of other members before relying on them.
6. Content You Provide
You retain ownership of the profile information, messages, and other content you submit to the Service. By posting content, you grant FoodSafetyCircle a limited license to display that content within the Service as necessary to operate it, such as showing your profile to your confirmed connections.
7. Intellectual Property
The FoodSafetyCircle name, logo, and the Service itself are the property of FoodSafetyCircle. Except for the rights expressly granted to you here, all rights are reserved.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. As an actively developing product, features may change, be added, or be temporarily unavailable. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for any particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FoodSafetyCircle will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or for the actions, statements, or omissions of other members, including references, introductions, or job outcomes facilitated through the Service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your conduct poses a risk to other members or to the Service.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will update the effective date above when changes are made, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
